The year is 2042. Your daughter is awkwardly silent as she eats her dinner. “Something wrong sweetie?” She sighs and puts down her fork. “I was digging really deep in AO3 last night…Why didn’t you finish that coffee shop au?” It happened. Your past has come back to haunt you. Nay, it never truly left.
U CANNOT OUTRUN UR CRIME
OKAY BUT WAIT. This has happened to me. Recently. Because I am old and I have things out there from previous fandoms with previous pseuds and one day my teenager begins a rant at me about people never finishing any WIPs on the pit of voles (which he does not call the pit of voles because he has No Knowledge of such a thing but yet he still reads on which I didn’t think anyone did any longer) and he points out an example to me of something I WROTE AND LEFT WIPing for ages and he has NO IDEA #1 that his mom wrote this and #2 How much it still haunts me to this day that it will. sit. there. for. eternity. because I am too lazy to pull it down.
If Marilyn Manson can cut off his best friend of 20 years for turning out to be a rapist then I don’t see why so many guys have a problem doing it to their buddy Chad they met 3 weeks ago at a tailgate party
I don’t know if this is weird or not, but I totes read Mulan as a trans woman! I tend to read all “women who pretend to be men” stories as very similar to my experience. In contrast, I’ve never imagined that a character presented to the audience as male was actually a trans woman.
To be honest.. if more children were shown from birth that they are loved, cared for, and listened no matter their gender we might not have some of the problems we have now.
know what’s wild? that the trope of like “my father always wanted a son so he treated me, his daughter, like a boy” is so popular and like lowkey loved, but if you ever saw a mother who talked about how much she wanted a daughter instead of a son, or if she treated her son like a girl, like??? people would think she’s awful and that poor boy??
damn wonder why that is 😒
i was high af when i wrote this but it’s still true
The latter is literally the plot of some horror movies.
being socialized female is easily recognized as abuse the moment it’s done to a male child
it’s really important to support this movie because it was directed by an iranian-american woman and written by two women! too often our lesbian movies are directed by men. This film is released august 3rd 2018!
