in case u haven’t heard, andi mack is a new disney channel show about a 13 year old asian american girl who finds out that (spoiler but it’s in the first episode) her sister is actually her mom. it centers around her, her family, and her best friends who are a black girl and a gay jewish boy (there’s a confirmed gay plot line and i could be wrong but im pretty sure it’s him) like ?? it deals w/ serious important topics like teen pregnancy, family dynamics, sexuality, and coming of age and it’s about children, for children im so HAPPY??? the first two episodes are online now and it officially airs in april pls watch and support!! if this show is successful it could really be vital in breaking into genuine inclusivity for modern disney channel like this is ? so ? important ?
i hate when people go “i dont credit fanartists as Real artists because its fanart and they should draw more original art” ok yeah that patronizing attitude is nice and all but you know like… every piece of classical art is fanart of the bible

i haven’t seen anyone talking about this on tumblr so I’m making a post about it.
a few days ago this 18 year old guy named julien clement wore a shirt that says “IF YOU ARE GAY DON’T APPROACH ME I’LL KILL YOU” in ottawa, the capital of canada, my hometown. he literally wants to murder gay people in cold blood.
julien clement and yan miller have openly stated they feel no remorse for wearing these shirts and have a homophobic gang called ATG which has around 20 members.
as someone who’s been struggling really hard to live openly as queer/bisexual, this terrifies me to my core. i don’t want to be scared for my life when i go to visit my friends and family.
i’m not saying dox them but please spread this around because canadian stuff really never gets much attention on tumblr, and these guys are potentially dangerous!!

I’ve never read a whole lot about communism. Overall my understanding is everyone works according to their abilities, and receives according to their needs. I think many people have kneejerk reactions against communism because of Soviet Russia and cold war era stuff. Really it’s not a bad concept, but it’s all but impossible to implement on a large scale, and generally attempts at communism have failed due to corruption and bureaucracy. I think it’s socialism that promotes everyone getting a minimum quality of life guaranteed, with the ability to work to increase your QoL, but then “oh socialism is bad because Nazis” happens. Isn’t politics grand

The fact that every time it’s been attempted there was corruption I think says something about the concept itself. Maybe the True ideal of communism is good, but incompatible with humanity’s desires. Someone has to regulate the communist laws after all, and that single person isn’t likely to be perfect.
Agreed. Under communism the dikfer just can’t be balanced among all members of the population. If you aren’t familiar with the concept of the dikfer just ask, I’d be happy to explain, it’s quite fascinating
